    FABA needs 4-5 volunteers the day of the Easter Parade on Saturday, April 4th from 9:30 a.m. 

    We also need Easter candy, if you would like to donate candy, please bring individually wrapped pieces to the FABA meeting on Friday, March 27th or Friday, April 3rd.

    The meeting on Friday, April 3rd will be live on air for WDRB. Please show up 45 minutes before their 2 minute segment or before the tease about the Easter Parade.

    Here's the basic rundown:
    5:20 - 2 minute segment - Topic 1 Hwang' Martial Artists
    5:45 - 45 second tease
    6:20 - 2 minute segment - Topic 2 League of Mascots
    6:45 - 45 second tease
    7:20 - 2 minute segment - Topic 3
    7:45 - 45 second tease Easter Bunny
    8:20 - 2 minute segment - Topic 4, FABA members

    CALLING ALL STREET PERFORMERS & ART VENDORS! FAT Friday is looking to place some street performers along The Avenue for an upcoming hop. If you sing, dance, or have an interesting talent you think we would be interested in please contact our VP Trolley at Megan@greghaus.com. Also please share this so we can get the word out!     Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center is sponsoring an art contest for children K-5 and will be putting all entries on display.

    The first place winner will have his or her art displayed on the poster for the April 2016 FAT Friday Trolley Hop!

    Come share your child's art work on The Avenue during our 'Derby on The Avenue' Trolley Hop. Mellwood Art & Entertainment Center and the Frankfort Avenue Business Association is sponsoring a Children's Art Contest for the upcoming April Trolley Hop. There will be prize packages for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners and the 1st place winner will have their artwork on the 2016 April Trolley Hop poster. All entries will be showcased at Mellwood Art & Entertainment Center and winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24th. The rules and eligibility are outlined below. Please make sure the art is delivered or mailed to our VP of Trolley, Megan Imel (100 Cannons Lane) by Monday, April 20th . Here's an attachment about the art contest to share with your family, friends and your child's teacher. We look forward to seeing your entry!

    Rules & Eligibility
    • Open to all children K-5
    • All artwork must be original and created by the applicant
    • Applicant CAN use FAT Friday Logo either printed or drawn/painted on work
    • Accepted Mediums: Paint, Crayon, Pencil, Pastels, Markers, Ink
    • All entries must feature theme: “Derby On The Avenue”
    • All applicants must list on the back of work: First and Last Name, Age, School, Teacher, Grade

    Applicants must have art mailed or delivered by April 20th, 2015:
